Music that makes me happy!

This is my favorite song these days.  When I hear it, I have to move, and then I have to play it again.  And maybe again.  So I thought I would share.  Scissor Sisters: Fire With Fire.

I love that they are driving around on a sort-of fire truck.  The action of the vid isn't all that stupendous, but I think the song is fabulous!

  1. I like it. My favorite song these days isn't very cheery - it's the demo version of Damien Rice's "9 Crimes" that was played earlier this season in True Blood. I like it much, MUCH better than the album version of that song.

  2. I'm not really all that familiar with that group. Of course I've heard of them but had no real clue what they sounded like. It was good.

My song obsessions seem to be more poppy and along the lines of a 15 year old. I'm into I want to be a Billionaire and Butterflies.

    Ha! Word veri: frack LOL

  3. Cool song! It has a late-80's vibe, which I definitely like. I've never heard of the band before, but then again, I'm so out of touch with current music. I listen to the Bee-Gees, Frank Sinatra, old jazz and Marvin Gaye. Though the kidlet loves Taylor Swift. It's totally grown on me, to the point where I listen to it when she's not in the car. Swift's music is so romantic and teen-love-ansty - it's sparked 3 book ideas so far. The muse loves her. LOL.

  4. Hi Chris - ironic, I just watched that episode of True Blood last night (yes, I'm behind in my watching). The song did catch my interest.

Tam, I loved the Billionaire video! Very cool. Scissor Sisters is more popular in the UK than here, I think, and definitely a gay fav.

  5. Ava, it's almost disco music, isn't it?

Taylor Swift!? *clears throat* Isn't it great how we all have different tastes? And muses?

  6. Great song!

My favorites lately aren't really new ones. I love Rufus Wainwright's "Poses" and anything by Thriving Ivory. Of course, I also love anything from Glee because I'm a big, old dork. :)

  7. Hi Eyre! Poses - yes, lovely. And I, too, am a Gleek! Anxious for the new season :)
