I got to see a fabulous concert a few weeks ago!  Lady Gaga!  With opening act Scissor Sisters!  Yay!  Davis Mallory at AfterElton.com did a spot-on review, which you can read here.  I wish the Sisters had played a little longer.  Jake Shears was awesome. And yes, he did have a cute butt. I was disappointed they didn't play "Fire With Fire", which is my favorite of theirs, but c'est la vie.

Lady Gaga was extraordinary.  Her emotion and energy leap off the stage, and she just pulls you in.  I have to admit I felt underdressed when she pointed out that people in the audience who were wearing jeans and t-shirts had missed that point that this was a Ball - The Monsters' Ball - and we should've been wearing our fanciest dress up clothes!  And even though I was sitting up in the stratosphere, I felt like she was looking right at me.  But there were enough people in outrageous clothes to make up for those of us in everyday attire.  A good time was had by all.

So what's new with you?

Same old, same old here. :)

  2. Sounds like fun but shouldn't she be all about accepting people as they are? Even if dressed in jeans and a t-shirt rather than making them feel bad for not spending money they might not have on silly clothes they'll wear for one night? Okay, now that I've knocked her down for that... LOL

We are going to see Katy Perry in early July. I'm sure I'll be nauseous from the 2 hours of cotton candy scent they apparently fill the arena with. I hate cotton candy. Lord I'm a barrel of laughs today.

Just home from Montreal, rest up over the weekend then ... blah. Work. :-)

  3. Chris: Same old is a comfort, sometimes!

Tam: Settle down, you! :) LG managed to say it without rancor, truly. I can't imagine smelling cotton candy for 2 hours. Maybe you get used to it? I wonder if they'll give out fireworks bras?

  4. Wow! Sounds like you had a great time at the concert!

Nothing new with me. I'm enjoying being out of the cave. Been watching TV, reading a couple of books, cleaning, and reading bad gossip magazines (much catch up on the latest news about various celebs who I care nothing about).

  5. Hi Ava!
Glad you're getting out from under the rock. It IS important to keep current with celebrities! I live vicariously through them.

  6. I would have been in jeans, too. The closest I could get to an appropriate outfit would have been that Rachel Berry beanie baby dress from Glee. Yeah, jeans for me. :)

  7. Jeans are the best, Eyre. I think beanie babies would've gotten uncomfortable! :)
